The idea behind 'MELODRAMA', the 12" vinyl album started becoming a reality a few months after 'MELODRAMA' the concert, was 100% set in stone. Late in 2023, I was granted funds from Rock N Malta, a fund administered by Festivals Malta which aims to give incentives to various organisers, promoters, artists and local bands in the genre of rock, including all its offshoots. I had started working on the set list for the concert almost immediately, what songs will I perform and who will play what. The more I got into the concert the more I started to think bigger the band got bigger then the strings got bigger. This was gonna be epic and that was all the inspiration I needed. I then decided to take it all up another notch and got started working on plan to make one of my dreams a reality, that one thing, for as long as I can remember, all those years growing up with nothing but music all around me, it was always to one day have a record, an original album on a 12" vinyl.

I had the core musicians that would perform with me at the concert in November 2024 and so I made the move and invited them all along to play with me on my new album. These were the same musicians that in one way or another I had already performed with over the last 23 years here in Malta, so when we finally got going, it was no surprise that it all started coming together so easily. The synergy and the excitement that I would be releasing my very first solo album on vinyl. This album would was then mixed by Mark Axiak from Studio X and mastered by a veteran in the recording industry Warren Barnett in Australia.
